Alright! Who did it?!!

Ok, who's the one responsible? Would it be you? Nah, you're a rooster

You are already taking care of babies so it would not be you

Yes, I see you, taking care of mama and the little ones

And you came from Germany from my Tante and cousin, but it looks like you have enough on your hands already

Another rooster!

Ohhh, are you not sweet, but too tiny for this big job!

Ah, ha! I think I can spy the culprit!

Let's take you down and check you out. What?! you say it's not you?

Hmmmmmm

Really! You say you are just guarding these and the other four dozen in the fridge! And who did lay all of these eggs?

So they are the ones!

Spring is definitely in the air around here! My dad said that they are getting ready for it! Now let me go through the list, and see who wants some eggs!

Your collection is adorable, I especially like the white rooster. Did your Tante make the cross stitch picture just for you? We had some snow this morning, but wonders never cease, we still had school. Most of it is gone now, and hopefully that was it for the year. Keeping our fingers crossed...

oh how cute and what a collection! Love this little post. Thanks for the well wishes on the job but the outlook today on the newest budget looks bleak... I'm not sure what to think right now.. But I do have some thoughts on a move..

Just a bit down on myself too. Makes me second guess things sometimes...

Hi Ulrike,
Love roosters and chickens too, unfortunately I have a very few of them, but always enjoy having a look at a nice collection. Fabulous 'collection' of fresh eggs too ;))
Thanks for your lovely comment on my Edinburgh post.

Ulrike, lentil soup is one of my favorite soups! My mom and Oma make the best lentil soup, and yes I do make it following their recipe.
The lentil sprouts were very peppery actually. Not what I would have expected, but really good. We have all had some, and Hannah and I love them, Greg thinks they're ok, Nadia wasn't impressed. The sprouts are really good in salads.
The newspaper pots hold up during watering pretty well. It also depends on how many layers of newspaper you use. I'm actually pretty stingy with the paper, and they still do well - on a tray of course. When it is time to plant, they do fall apart sometimes, but it has never caused any problems.
My Opa passed away in 92 and yes, I still miss him. The truly hard thing was him passing away while we were about to leave Germany for a long time. Those were a rough few weeks...
Sorry about this lengthy answer to your questions.
Have a great day,
Anke
