Strolling down the lane

I have a few more house scenes to show from that lovely city Savannah. I think that these were among my favorites from that area. They may not be quite as old as everything else, but they are still lovely to look at.

Can you imagine strolling through here a long, long time ago with the trees and Spanish moss dripping down?

Now this is a house! I love the way it curves

There is a lot of architectural work here that really stands out. Can you see the garage in the background through the curved entry?

This was another favorite of mine.

I'm sure the city is decked out now until the new year. If you ever get a chance to go I know you will thoroughly enjoy it!

Hi Ulrike,

These houses are enormous! I like the verandas and the way they are decorated for Christmas. The weather looks fine at your pictures. You were lucky to have such great weather. We have snow at the moment. It looks so romantic. I have been out today taking pictures. I will show them on my blog soon. Have a good day!

Lieve groet, Madelief

Those houses are magnificent! Yes, it would be wonderful to stroll down those streets with the Spanish moss dangling from those beautiful old trees.
Thanks for sharing your Savannah photos. It looks like an amazing old city.
We certainly have plenty of winter snow scenes to look at. Hopefully I'll have a little more time for posting soon.
I hope you're enjoying the pre-Christmas season in spite of the busyness :)

I was there several years ago and loved it-everything but the extreme heat in the summer when I was there.

I love your pictures from Savannah. It seems to be a lovely town. When I see the houses, I remember Scarlett O´Hara and Rhett Buttler in "Gone with the Wind". =) I see them going through the streets. It´s a long time ago I read this book.

What lovely old homes. I especially like they way the greenery accents the stairs in the last photo. I would love to sit on those verandas and drink iced tea and watch the passersby.
