I can't believe I forgot to blog this! I think we were starting work on the garden house so I'll say it has to do with that not old age!! Back in June we made a quick trip to Savannah. Love, love Savannah! We were meeting up with some people so we took a little drive, and wound up on Coffee Bluffs road which gave us this view. Just what I need to look at right now!
We always walk the river walk no matter how many times we've gone.
These stairs are killers for high heels
Hubby enjoying the misters that were up, and I believe they were needed for the month of July!
We stopped at a restaurant to grab a quick snack. Beautiful oak trees out the window
Now that's a lot of wine!
I didn't notice till I posted this that my hair is wind swept even though I pulled it up, and the coat rack behind me looks like I have antlers!!
After our snack we had to walk back up the stairs!
Next time that we go to Savannah I'd like to do a carriage ride, but more so in the evening.
So why did we go? For this! Wild Georgia shrimp!! It was packed heavily with ice thank goodness.
My brother-in-law tells us we can drive a mile down the road to the nearest grocery store to purchase shrimp, but these taste so much better. Besides I get a trip to my favorite city!! Now I better see what other photos I haven't posted!

What a fun trip for you guys. Savannah is definitely on my 'must visit list', has been for a long time. Do you guys ever spend the night there, and if so, can you recommend a place? I think it would be a great place to take family (visiting from Germany)to... All those shrimp, yum...
It is a lovely city. Many years since I visited. I hope I get the chance to go back some day and spend some time there.

What a wonderful time you must have had. Our son and his wife worked in Savannah for a while before they moved to Maine. Would you believe it is the ONLY place they've lived that we DIDN'T have opportunity to visit them there?
The picture of you is very becoming, Ulrike! It doesn't look as if you have antlers at all. You are so funny!
Thanks for posting those pictures at this time ...the first one especially makes me think cool and comfortable rather than hot and sticky.
Hi Ulrike,
I can see why you love this town! I can remember you posted some photos of Savannah before. I believe it was of all the old houses with different colours. It looks very old and full of history. I think I would like Savannah too!!
I have to pay you a compliment now. You look great on the photo! So relaxed and pretty. The colour of your dress suits you. You look as if you are having a great time!!!
Take care, Lieve groet,
Madelief
