Indigo Night

It is not often that one can capture a night sky that presents itself with such a color or at least not one that I have ever seen.  Last year when we went to Monticello up in the mountains of Virginia we visited a beer brewery where they also served food.  As we walked outside I was so thankful to have my camera with me to capture the sky, the clouds, and to marvel at such a color, so different, not the usual reds, oranges, and pinks.

Indigo Night....don't you agree that's the perfect name for it?!

Yes, Ulrike...I do agree it is the perfect name for that gorgeous night sky that you were able to capture so beautifully on camera! Thanks so much for sharing.

AND I love that new header! Pansies are my most favorite outside flower!

It is a PERFECT name for the sky!
I seldom see the sky that color here, and if I do, it is just a fleeting flash and then gone to greys and dark.
Makes me realize there truly is a sky that is *midnite blue*~~~those are exceptionally beautiful shots.
And the pansy header is delightful; I think I am ready for Spring. ;-)

Hi Ulrike,

What an amazing sky! I have never seen anything like it!!! Lucky you to witness it and capture it on camera. How is the garden? Has all the snow left already?

Lieve groet & happy new week!

I remember your visit there - a wonderful place and such gorgeous gardens - our last time was in a violent storm though and the photos were a big fat zero!

Love this - you captured a beautiful sky, and memory.
