Happy Days!!

If any of you have read my blog for a while you know that last year my daughter almost died from blood clots.  Last month she was finally able to get off of blood thinners, and last week she had to go back to the hematologist to have a series of blood work done to make sure that it was not caused by any type of auto immune disease.
Well, the doctor called yesterday and all of her tests came back NORMAL!!!!!!!  Oh Happy Days!!! The one thing that she was told was to stay permanently off of birth control pills.  I don't think that will be a problem.  The sad thing though is that we are hearing of more and more young women having the same thing happen to them, and some are not as fortunate as my daughter.  Let's hope that whatever these people are doing with "modern" medicine (don't get me wrong, there are a lot of good things from it) they make sure to change it so that other young women won't die or have to go through a horrible experience.
I am a happy mom!!!!

Very happy for the results with your daughter!
I can say that the risk of many medications is *pooh-poohed* in favor of the profit margin. There are a lot of Drs that don't inform patients of what can happen.
I always check everything online; it gives percentages of risk on side effects.

I am very happy to hear that, Ulrike. I'm so glad your daughter is ok. I have never been able to take birth control pills, they made me sick and I don't believe in fooling mother nature...even though I understand that sometimes we have to do what's necessary.

Have a wonderful day!

Prayers have been answered Ulrike. I'm so happy for you and your family. A good friend of ours is a 57 year old male and he got a blood clot in the vein of his foot. It swelled and was turning blue. He's on blood thinners now and it evidently is a long precess. He hadn't been flying or on meds so they don't know what happened. Weird. The doctor said maybe he bruised his foot.

I am so happy for you and your daughter. I agree totally with you about modern medicine. I think sometimes it does more harm than good. Thank God that your daughter had a positive outcome! Carla
