The Ladies

When you come across a painting such as this one do you stop and think of what her life might have been like? A simple painting yet she is dressed so elegantly with a flower pinned on her shoulder.

Carefree, walking barefoot
I believe I would call this one....The Look....it definitely seems to have some hidden meaning to it
Oooh, la, la ..I definitely like the one on the left
Somewhere In Time, yes, that is what I thought when I first saw this print.  I absolutely love this one, it calls to me, it is what I call My Lady print.  I could place myself in this picture sitting there, wondering, dreaming, sigh.
All of the ladies are beautiful, and they were seen in Asheville.  The bottom one I purchased at a Goodwill store here locally where she has been waiting for her new home in the garden house where she belongs.

Oh I just adore all those ladies Ulrike:) Love your names for all of them also. So beautiful, each in their own way. And yes, I do wonder and think about the ladies in such pictures, when I run across them also. I love the one that now lives in your garden house:) xxx

You must have taken a lot of pictures that day. I love seeing these and they so remind me of the Loretta Young days. I was a teenager and she was just the most beautiful woman I had ever seen next to my mother. Hope all is well with you Ulrike.

One of the best things about having a blogger brunch, was that I had a chance to see my surroundings through others eyes. When we were antiguing, I never even saw these lovely ladies....

Hugs,

Dear Ulrike,

You have seen some beautiful things in Ashville! The old prints look good. I like fashion prints and photo's from long ago very much too. Especially from the 1920s.

The print your purchased is very pretty!

Happy day & lieve groet, madelief

Those are all great. I just realized that I only have pictures of landscapes and architecture in my place. I'm going to have to keep my eye out for some portrates of women. I like them.

I especially loved the first lady too - in fact I loved everything in that booth but only bought a monogrammed hand towel, the other items were too big to haul home.....or much too expensive for me, sigh!
