Sweet tea & corn

Went to the Farmers Market the other day to pick up a few things since my garden did absolutely nothing this year except for maybe some cucumbers. They say fall planting time is just around the corner so I think I'll have some raised beds made for it.

In the meantime I'll enjoy the glass of sweet tea while shucking corn, in my opinion, nothing tastes better than a tall glass of sweet tea!

Hi Ulrike... I am headed to our farmers market this afternoon for some corn... and right now, I think I will fix me some sweet tea as well... nothing like it on these hot summer days! xoxo Julie Marie

Sounds wonderful, Ulrike. I am not sure that our gardens are going to produce very much this year, either. I canned plenty the last two years, so we still have a lot on the shelves, but there are a few things that we always like to have fresh from the garden...like corn and green beans...if only a mess or two of each.

And how about the garden house? Anything new there? I SO want to see and hear more about it when you've had a chance to work your magic.

Ulrike, the corn looks lovely! I wish I could go to our farmers market and get some, but I'm not allowed to drive for the next two weeks. :-( I did enjoy some wonderful sun tea today and I think I'll have to make some again tomorrow. Nothing better! Thank you so much for the sweet card you sent me, it really made my day today!

It's a great time for fresh veggies! My crisper is full to the brim - I think Mother Earth has been especially good to us this year.

No iced tea of any kind for me - I'm a 'hot English style tea with a spot of milk' gal! But good sweet corn - now that I love!
