Looks yummy

Oooooh, don't these look yummy? They are some of the first strawberries from my garden!

I am surprised to have received them as everything has been slow to grow this spring. Our spring has been a little hot, and a little cool especially at night. The ground has not had much of a chance to warm up. With the weather this way not much has come up so it will mean extra work for me re-planting everything except for what is outside the greenhouse. Oh well, at least I have strawberries!

Those look so good, I'm a little jealous... The strawberries in our towers are growing, but the birds are always munching on them. We strung aluminum foil and old CD's around the towers yesterday and we're hoping it will help some.

I am duly jealous with the strawberries...I used to have plants, but between the bird and chipmunks, never got but a few!
The remaining plants have invaded the flowerbed, and I figure they can feed the creatures outside and I will now buy my berries.
But homegrown ones are always better!

XXOO!!

Yummmmm - thanks for the reminder, Ulrike! I have to go to the field and get another flat of strawberries - I almost forgot because they close the U-Pick field mid or end of May already and then I'll go blueberry picking - yeah! I just love berries!

Enjoy :-)
