At first I thought it was an orchid, but it's not. However, it does look like giant bat wings! According to the sign this is a Giant Dutchman's Pipe, and it looks to grow on a vine.

I absolutely love these vines. An elderly friend had a huge one that would be covered with blooms. I tried for years to start them from seed, from cuttings, bought plants, to no avail. They are magnificent when mature!
