Ok, we are still officially in winter, but outside it is saying springtime.
The early daffodils are up
What about the little grape hyacinth? They are peeking out real early.
I planted bulbs all through here last fall so when I walk or go to feed the chickens I have some sunshine in the woods.
The chickens don't mind that it is warm. They have been laying like crazy! Right now I have 5 dozen eggs in the fridge yet that won't last long as soon as the first cold spell comes back they will quit laying.
I can't believe these showed up here. When did I plant them?
These are back from the year before. I purchased more yet they are not blooming , and these should not be blooming either.
Different colored daffodils usually bloom much later, but here they are.....
These were blooming in January! Now we have had warm, rainy days, cold foggy ones, temps in the high 60's to low 70, and then over in Europe my relatives have been told they are better off staying indoors! All that snow over there is amazing, but I can remember when I was a child a long, long time ago the snow would get pretty deep. Now this weekend we are suppose to get colder daytime temps, and freezing at night. Oh my poor blueberries! I'll be busy covering things up. So how is the weather in your neck of the woods? By the way my header picture will be gone next time and replaced with a more "warmer" one!

It's the same here, Ulrike! The daffodils are blooming and the azaleas are getting ready to. This is the mildest winter I can remember... I'm totally enjoying it!! Hope you are doing well!! Hugs, Silke
We've got daffodils blooming, too and even the tulips are starting to come up. Which worries me because this weekend is supposed to get down to 21. While I was in Germany it was freezing cold, no snow, but extremely cold.

Wow Ulrike, a lot of eggs - I see some delicious omelets on the breakfast menu!!
Yes, Spring flowers are quite profuse right now, I've already cut daffodils for the house and more are blooming outside this morning. It's going to get colder though - just when we're getting ready to pack for Hawaii! I so want to be here if it snows but may not see any this Winter! Hope you don't lose your blueberries, and that all our European family/friends will weather the big chill.
Sending hugs - Mary
