When everything has turned white, beautiful, and still then this is the time that the colors of the birds show up brilliantly. As I stood outside taking my photos I could actually hear the sound of their wings, and the chirping of happiness with the food that they found.
This is what I call one of the beauties of nature.

Love your collage of birdie pics, Ulrike! They just sort of brighten ones day, yes?
Where do you live that you have all this snow? I thought you lived in GA? I live here too and we have had no snow...guess I must be too far down south :-(
Lovely photos - I'm sad that I can't be in the snow!
We love feeding birds during the colder month. The red pop of color when a cardinal is looking for food, or the pretty blue jays... There are lots of other birds as well and it's a lot of fun to learn more about the different species.
Hi Ulrike... we think so much alike... I too posted about birds, well, one big pompous Hawk to be exact!... xoxo Julie Marie
Oh, fantastic collage! The cardinals are so brilliant! I love when they show up. They were my mom's favorite bird and I always think of her when I see one!
Your Yorkies and our Mr. J must have the same blood line because he goes CRAZY when there are squirrels on the deck! Oh my gosh, he wants to get at them so bad, and I don't think it's to play! Should be an interesting summer!... Donna
Hello Ulrike, It is nice to meet you. I'm your newest follower.

Hi Ulrike,
You have some special looking birds. I am amazed they are still around. Lots of the birds who stay in Holland during the summer leave in the fall for warmer places.
Keep warm overthere. We are getting some forst (and snow) here too :-(! I hoped spring had already started!!
Lieve groet,
Madelief
I love your bird pictures...we have three feeders and it is always fun seeing the birds.
Hugs,
Penny
So sweet! I won't hear or see any birds for months yet - enjoy your little visitors!
Hugs,
Zuzu
I think we have the same birds dear Ulrike! We are so fortunate to have so many colorful ones - and they look beautiful in the snow!
